myLocalCurrency was created to identify and create technology solutions in support of local currency initiatives.
Acknowledging the lack of technical support in the creation, implementation, and management of local currency programs, myLocalCurrency is now reaching out to existing and potential local currency programs to gather insight into what tools are helpful or necessary in supporting each of their missions.
These tools may include member directory and referral tools, currency management, events and member news, as well as many other online features meant to stimulate the local currency community. In addition, national features may include the following.
- An accurate and member-managed directory of domestic local currency programs including communication forums and other helpful items.
- A centralized repository for disseminating news and items of interest to program directors (similar to indymedia.org), etc.
- National event calendaring and featured articles.
In order to manage this flow of information, please contact us through email at info@myLocalCurrency.org and let others who may be interested in local currency programs know about www.myLocalCurrency.org.
